1.
If you ever feel lonesome when you're down in San Antone Beg, steal or borrow two nickels or a dime to call me on the phone And I'll meet you at Alamo Mission, where we can say our prayers The Holy Ghost and the Virgin Mother will heal us as we kneel there In the moonlight, in the midnight, in the moonlight, midnight, moonlight If you ever feel sorrow for the deeds you have done With no hope for tomorrow in the setting of the sun And the ocean is howling for the things that might have been And that last good morning sunrise will be the brightest you've ever seen
2.
In the beginning you really loved me But I was blind and I could not see But when you left me oh, how I cried You don't miss your water till your well runs dry I was a playboy, I could not be true I couldn't believe I really loved you But when you left me oh, how I cried You don't miss your water till your well runs dry In the beginning you really loved me But I was blind and I could not see But when you left me oh, how I cried You don't miss our water till your well runs dry You don't miss our water till your well runs dry Written by William Bell • Copyright © Universal Music Publishing Group

----- You've hit some bad notes before, But they were never like this. And when she drops her piano You only hope that she'll miss You can't be sure when it will happen, 'Cause there is always a twist.

Louise 04:12
----- Lyrics Well they all said Louise was not half bad It was written on the walls and window shades And how she'd act the little girl A deceiver, don't believe her that's her trade Sometimes a bottle of perfume, Flowers and maybe some lace Men brought Louise ten cent trinkets Their intentions were easily traced Well everybody thought it kind of sad When they found Louise in her room They'd always put her down below their kind Still some cried when she died this afternoon Louise rode home on the mail train Somewhere to the south I heard it said Too bad it ended so ugly, Too bad she had to go this way Ah but the wind is blowing cold tonight So good night Louise, good night Written by Paul Siebel • Copyright © Universal Music Publishing Group

about

Kim Mackenzie is a multi-instrumentalist and singer based in San Antonio. After 25 years working the local circuit as a side man, she's dipping a toe into the spotlight with this solo album, Grace.

Produced by Grammy Award winner Joe Reyes, Grace features tracks written by past and present musical cohorts, plus re-imagined versions of other tunes picked up along the way — from the bluegrass-tinged music of Peter Rowan to the lo-fi Indie folk of Elliott Smith.

"Grace is a promising introduction to what Mackenzie is capable of when helming her own project: dynamic Americana with a well-conveyed range of moods and impeccable instrumentation." – San Antonio Current

"Mandolin picker/fiddler and singer Kim Mackenzie is a not-so-secret weapon on the acoustic music scene. She chooses her playing, and singing, spots wisely and soulfully — putting the notes exactly where they belong.” — Jim Beale, Jr., San Antonio Express News
